| NATIONAL CONVENTION PHILANTHROPY PROJECT
In support of our 49th National Convention’s theme, Enriching Communities, we are providing an exciting opportunity for our membership to express our commitment to service through our 2010 Convention Philanthropy Project to support the Child Language Center of Tucson, Arizona. The Child Language Center has programs that are designed to help children with special language-learning needs to develop the verbal communication skills necessary to participate confidently and successfully in family, social and academic activities. Through our Convention Philanthropy Project, we are encouraging our members to collect the following items to support their programs and the children they assist:
• New or gently used childrens books (Age 6 months – 6 years) • Two (2) karaoke machines • Ink cartridges (HP 95 and 98) • Crayola non-toxic markers • Crayola chubby crayons • Baby dolls • Toy vehicles (cars, trucks, etc.) • Coloring books • Marker paper
Convention attendees are encouraged to bring items from their wish list and deposit them in the collection boxes located at the registration tables during Convention. Financial contributions can be made in lieu of items with checks made out to Child Language Center. If you are purchasing the karaoke machines, please e-mail me at lbe33@hotmail.com, so that we can make sure that we are not duplicating items. We will be presenting our collected items to the Child Language Center during National Convention.
Thank you in advance for helping to Enrich the Tucson community by supporting the Child Language Center and making our 2010 Convention Philanthropy Project a great success!
